A beautiful and extremely rare antique handmade flat weave Caucasian Soumak, Soumakh, Soumac rug circa 1880 measuring 225 x 200 cm ( 7 x 6.5 FT ). Shapes of hexagon motifs each decorated with the geometric objects in an eye catching white and light blue background surrounded with the similarly detailed narrow borders. This is one of the original Soumac with amazing overall design. These types are very sought after and getting less and less available. This rug has been professionally restored with both ends secured including salvages. It is a great decorative piece and can lighten up any interior whether classic or contemporary.
