Very impressive fine antique Turkmen Hatchli wool rug circa 1900 measuring 155 x 135 cm ( 5 x 4 ft ). Panels of geometric motifs in deep antique red and creme field surrounded by similarly geometric borders. The fine weave and very shimmy wool indicate the rug being of high quality from the region.Hatchli or Ensi Turkmen rugs are very sought after and if good condition one found demand high prices. This rug remains in excellent condition with both ends well intact and secured. It has been professionally cleaned and washed and has very good consistent low pile expected from these types.
