A tightly woven antique handmade wool Turkmen Bokhara rug circa 1900 from South Turkmenistan measuring 165 x 115cm (5.4' x 3.7'). Rows or Hexagonal motifs in the pale red field decorated with the geometric objects. This rug showing the sign of the age being slightly faded however its beauty remains undiminished. It has a very tight weave and in a way is little different to other Turkmen rugs I have displayed. It has a consistent low pile with some localised wear commensurate with the age. Both end fringes secured and it was professionally cleaned and washed ready to furnish your home.
