Qashqai rug in Light and dark Blue 144 x 100 cm
Amazingly decorative handmade wool Persian Qashqai rug circa 1910 measuring 144 x 100 cm ( 4.7 x 3.2 FT ). Two central shaped medallions each decorated with geometrical objects in the field where dark meet sky blues, having ivory borders with similar objects. The two blues are nicely connetcd which shows the rarity of this tribal rug. It appears the weaver used different dyed wool colours during the weaving process. This rug has been professionally cleaned and washed and apart of few areas of localised wear it is generally in good condition with both ends secured.
