Rare old handmade wool Persian Veramin or Varamin Kilim circa 1950 measuring 305 x 140 cm ( 10 x 4.7 ft ). All over repetitive design called Mina Khani in variety of colours. Varamin is a small town situated in the Southeast of Te'hran and have been actively producing some of the fine rugs and Kilims over the past century! The process of Natural dyes colours have seen in majority of rugs and Kilims however the vibrant colours used remain very much associated to this region. Designs also very much repetitive and named as Mina Khani where the reflection of patterns occur. Old Kilim from Varamin are extremely sought after and good condition ones demand more money!. This Kilim although of age has remained in very good condition with some minor wear along the edges otherwise beautiful and colourful Kilim.
