A sought after handmade wool Persian Mahal rug circa 1930 measuring 200 x 138 cm ( 6.5 x 4.5 ft ). Central medallion in diamond shaped decorated with floral and geometric motifs and surrounded with the similar objects in antique blue background. This beautiful and decorative rug although worn in places due to age and usage, still maintains its charm and decorative looks. Normally Mahal rugs come in bigger sizes, however these types are great pieces around the house. Professionally cleaned and washed and generally good piece however there are some areas of wear heavier at the centre of the rug due to age.
