A charming old Persian Bakhtiari handmade wool rug circa 1950 measuring 210 x 140 cm ( 6.8 x 4.6 ft ). Central diamond shaped medallion decorated with floral theme surrounded with similarly busy fied in abrash deep red background, having similarly detailed borders. This is one of the better quality Bakhtiari rugs as the wool is shimmy and foundation although strong but finer and not like the ones made coarser! As these types come from different villages in Bakhtiari province I reckon this type is from area of Ghahveh Rokh where rugs along with the Chalshutor are better in quality. This rug is in good condition and can lighten up any dull room in need of colours.
