An exquisite handmade wool antique Persian Malayer runner wool rug circa 1920 measuring 320 x 105 cm ( 10.4 x 3.4 ft ). All over floral design in red and midnight blue field decorated further with the detailed objects and motifs. Town of Malayer which is situated in the North West of I'ran between towns of Hamadan and Bojnurd is known of having some of the finest handmade wool rugs with veg dyed colourings and attractive detailed designs. Many of these rugs were exported to Western world and become popular with the households. This runner has remained in good condition with some minor localised wear being professionally cleaned and washed.
