This is a decorative and attractive abrash Pink handmade wool Persian Kurdish rug circa 1910, measuring 180 x 125 cm ( 6 x 4 ft ). All over floral and geometric field in very decorative abrash pink surrounded by similar geometric borders in variety of colours. The interesting feature about this Kurdish rug is that it is a reminiscent of Heriz rugs from the same region only having slightly different weft. It has been naturally worn over the years of the age and usage and even though you find patches of wear, but the beauty of the rug remains undiminished. It has been professionally cleaned and washed, both ends fringes redone and secured including the side cords and few touches of textile paint and repiling so the rug can come to life. Very decorative piece indeed.
