A good example is this magnificent handmade silk and wool Persian Isfahan carpet which bearing a signature of the famous painter and Eliminationist Haj Mirza Aqa Emmami (1880-1955). Haji Mirza Emmami although was not a carpet weaver himself, his painting works however played an influential part in designing patterns used by various weavers from early to the mid 20th century. Measuring 250cm x 155cm (8'2"x5'), it demonstrates an all over white lattice field, decorated with interlinked palmettes and meandering floral vines enclosed by light orange borders in almost perfect condition.
