Genuine antique handmade wool Persian Heriz rug circa 1900 measuring 320 x 210 cm ( 10 x 6.4 ft ). Bold geometrical central medallion in rich read field surrounded with similar motifs in various colours having narrow bands of borders. This Heriz rug even though over 100 years of age still has very vibrant colours with the good quality of wool and weave. There are some areas of wear commensurate with the age and usage with some fraying otherwise still a very decorative and relevant piece. These types Heriz are very sought after and popular amongst dealers and private buyers and gradually have become less and less available in the open market.
