Fantastic and high quality handmade wool Persian Khamseh tribal rug circa 1900 measuring 230 x 127 cm ( 7.5 x 4 FT ). An light Ivory / cream ground with a large Polychrome Boteh pattern each having small symbols with a multi borders decorating with smaller geometric motifs. This is a prime example of a finely woven old Qashqai rug as well as rarity of fabulous design and patterns. This possibly late 19th / early 20th century antique rug has defied age and usage and has remained in good overall condition with stunning veg dyed colours. It has been professionally cleaned and washed both ends secured and apart of minor localised wear is in good condition ready to furnish your home.
