A high quality Persian handmade wool and silk I'sfahsn signed rug measuring 170 x 110 cm ( 5.6 x 3.6 ft ). A central medallion interconnected with wines and spenderalles having animal theme in Ivory, Beige and gold colours with the similarly attractive and detailed borders. In P'ersian these types called Haft Rang ( seven main colours ) and were very much popular city rugs made in mid 20th century. The silk and Kurk wool are prefect in this rug and pile is consistent with no defects. There is a signature of the weaver at one end. Condition is good in this rug as expected with some very minor fraying at one end fringes. Rug may benefit from light wash but lovely as is. Very decorative and high quality handmade rug.
