Naturally worn and very attractive handmade antique wool Afghan rug circa 1890 measuring 220 x 100 cm ( 7 x 3 FT ). Rows of red geometric motifs in the midnight blue background. This beautiful Afghan rug has aged with the test of time. Its attractive and rather unusual motifs and colours although faded but still remind us of its old glory days. Even though pile has become thinner and colours are faded a bit but its presence can still be a great decorative addition to any interior. It has been professionally washed and cleaned few touches of fabric colour in places with both ends secured and salvages redone. Its both original end Kilims have remarkably remained preserved which is normally rare for rugs belonging to the 19th century.
