A contemporary handmade wool rug made by Turnberry Rug works shop designed by London based artist Euphrosyne Andrews. Euphrosyne Andrews is a contemporary London-based artist whose work spans sculpture, installation, print and textile design. Her practice engages with domestic and architectural spaces and often explores the boundaries between fine art and craft, including textiles. Euphrosyne Andrews designed abstract rug pieces as part of her textile design output:
In 2016, while she was associated with the Glasgow School of Art, she produced abstract textile designs (including rugs) that have appeared in auctions and listings under the title Textile Design No.1 and Textile Design No.2. These are contemporary abstract wool rugs, each about 140 cm × 155 cm, made in Scotland with 100 % wool. They are attributed to her as the designer and were produced with Turnberry Rug Works Scotland, with her name and design information on the label. This rug is one of her works and is a lovely piece with multi colours. Very good condition.
