Beautiful Antique handmade wool P'ersian Rug from Azerbaijan region circa 1930 measuring 215 x 135 cm ( 6.8 x 4.4 ft ). Featuring a bold geometric medallion design set on a rich coral/salmon field with deep indigo borders and traditional tribal motifs throughout. Hand knotted, this carpet displays the powerful angular drawing and superb village character that made Azerbaijan rugs highly sought after. The rug has a wonderful decorative presence with naturally aged colours, soft wool and an authentic tribal appearance. The combination of salmon red, navy blue, ivory and sky blue tones works beautifully in both traditional and modern interiors. It is in good condition despite of age and ready to furnish your home.
