Antique handmade wool Persian Qashqai rug circa 1900 measuring 170 x 128 cm ( 5.6 x 4.1 ft ). Panels of diamond shaped medallions each decorated with objects in dark blue / black background field having much detailed motifs in lovely pale colours in the border. Rug generally in good condition with some local wears commensurate with age, it has been professionally cleaned and washed and both ends secured. Very attractive and fine piece belonging to the early 20th century.
