This beautiful antique silk Kashan tree of life design rug belonging to the early 20th century does show off its fabulous decorated field in detailed motifs in arrays of gold and light pink colours. Measuring 196 x 130cm (6'5"x3'9"), it has all the attributes required from Persian silk rugs made around the same period. Apart from couple of areas of localised wear in the field commiserated with age the rug is in good condition with the soft silk foundation.
