A fantastic handmade antique Persian Sarouk wool rug measuring 190 x 125 cm (6 x 4 ft ),A prime example of quality American Sarouk typically having an all over floral pattern with muted red colour palette. These types predominately made for Western countries as they were finer with dense wrap and shimmy wool. This early 20th century rug has all the attributes of fine P'ersian rugs both in fine foundation and natural dyed colours. It has been light washed having low pile throughout but consistent commensurate with age and usage, both salvages redone and ends secured. Lovely antique piece.
