Very sought after and collectable antique handmade wool Persian Bidjar rug circa 1900 measuring 175 x 126 cm ( 5.7 x 4 ft ). All over Floral motifs (Gul Farang ), in back / midnight blue background having geometric borders in abrash light and darker blues. This Bidjar rug is a prime example of fine tribal piece made over 100 years ago with naturally dyed colours seen as variety of abrash blues and greys with other eye catching colours. Weave also finer than recent sturdy Bidjar rugs but still strong and long lasting. Despite the age it has remained in very good condition with low consistent pile being professionally cleaned and washed both end short fringes secured. Lovely collectable piece in reasonable price not seen in exclusive carpet shops.
