Antique handmade wool Zanjan rug 6.2 x 4.7 ft
Antique handmade wool Persian Zanjan rug circa 1920 measuring 190 x 145 cm ( 6.2 x 4.7 ft ). Allover floral motifs with large red roses indicating traditional village craftsmanship. Densely woven with very tight knots this rug is sturdy and very hard wearing. Leather strip sewn on the back to protect the salvages from damage and rug appears in fair to good condition with some areas of localised wear commensurate with the age and usage. The wool is naturally dyed as seen from the back of the rug.
