Antique Afghan handmade wool prayer rug circa 1930
Decorative handmade wool Afghan prayer rug circa 1930 measuring 100 x 80 cm ( 3 x 2.6 ft ). Three geometric central medallions with the form of Mehrab design in deep antique red field with some geometric motifs along the narrow borders. This little Afghan rug has been naturally worn with low piles and has been restored with one repair at the corner of one end with both end fringes secured. It is one of the finer of the pieces from the region with strong but fine foundation.
