Handmade wool Afghan Shirvan rug measuring 155 x 105cm (5' x 3.4' ' ). Diamond central medallion decorated with motifs in the bright red background. Shirvan rugs have been made by Afghan refugees between the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan and they do have similar designs in Caucasian Kazak rug however with newer weaves and brighter colours. This rug has been professionally cleaned and washed and both ends secured with good consistent pile and rich colours.
