An old handmade wool room size Afghan gold rug circa 19020 measuring 360 x 260 cm ( 11.8' x 8.5' ). Rows of bold hexagonal motifs each decorated with the geometric objects in an eye catching Abrash coloured pale Gold field having similarly bands of borders. This Afghan rug has a very decorative presence and it seemed it was antique washed in order to reduce the strong colours. It has been professionally cleaned and washed with good overall pile having minor localised wear due to the age. Very beautiful piece.
